HIS PRESENCE: Where the fullness of joy comes from
There is a space in our lives that only the presence of God can fill. That space within us yearns for his fresh touch again and again. The workaholic understands it but chooses to fill it with work and more work, the single person understands it but chooses to fill it with wild oats, the rich understands it but chooses to fill it with the craving for more money, the womanizer understands it and chooses to fill it with more women, the substance-abuser understands it and chooses to fill it with more chemicals, the smoker understands it and comes up with more exotic names in the smoking world, the alcoholic understands it and dares to fill it with more liquor.
I can go on and on...but here is the question: Have you considered being alone in his presence for a moment? Have you ever dared to take a walk and talk to the God of the universe all by yourself in your own language? Have you come to know that "the fullness of joy only comes in his presence and not in things?" Have you dared to say this to him:
"Dear Lord, I just love to feel your warmth and presence...I just love how all my hassles turn into the emblems of happiness in your presence...I just love you Lord."
If you have not tried it before, I dare you to begin today...in your car, in the shower, on your way to that interview, as you sit in that lobby waiting for your next appointment...and you will see what I mean...for
"being alone in his presence is not being lonely."
And if you have, I implore you to let us know what it felt like for iron sharpeneth iron...Do have a most splendid day...And remember to visit IykeNwambie.org today
