INSPIRATION: 2 Questions That Help Me To Live Above Anger

Anger is an alarm that goes off when your personal-standards are violated by somebody else. Anger is not a virtue, but a vice! Anger drains your spiritual energy, reduces your degree of influence, belittles your self-worth and makes you prone to mistakes. When I find myself getting angry, I simply stop that feeling with a question. I ask myself, “Why are you angry?” That question shifts my focus from the feeling of anger to the cause of anger. And when I identify the cause of my anger, I ask myself a second question, “How can I maintain my joy despite this anger?” This second question shifts my focus from the cause of anger to the several ways of being happy and joyful. My dear friend, living above anger, is stepping above the realm of defeat…For anger is not a companion of the wise. #KeepAdvancing!

"Be no hasty in thy spirit to be angry: for anger rests in the bosom of fools" (Ecclesiastes 7:9)

PRAYER OF DECLARATION

I believe and declare that I will live above anger today. I declare that anger will not be my companion. Anger will not becloud my judgment. Anger will not gain a foothold in my life, in Jesus name.
